Sang : The Crow Man’s song – Wings in my heart
A song and also my story and adventures with the many wild crows I have befriended the past few years 🙂
Titel: Wings in my heart
(Verse 1 – Hooded Crow)
With a grey hood and wise eyes so bright,The hooded crow visits, a gentle delight.Loving peanuts and playful games each day,A faithful little friend who brightens my way.
(Verse 2 – Blackie, the Black Crow)
In dark times came Blackie, feathers midnight black,She comforted gently, helped me get back on track. She taught me joy, lifted spirits anew,My soulful companion, steadfast and true.
Chorus:
Oh crows, dear crows, wings bringing hope,Sharing life together, helping me cope.Bringers of light when darkness appears,Crows, you remain in my heart through the years.
(Verse 3 – Raven Ragna & Pjuske)
Lost and alone, young Ragna was found,By hooded crow Pjuske, love quickly bound.A raven adopted by gentle crow care,Their bond showed the world love beyond compare.
(Verse 4 – Nova, the Jackdaw)
Nova arrived, a jackdaw so sweet,A family found her, brought her to my feet. Now she plays freely with friends in the skies,Missing her deeply brings tears to my eyes.
Chorus:
Oh crows, dear crows, wings bringing hope,Sharing life together, helping me cope.Bringers of light when darkness appears,Crows, you remain in my heart through the years.
(Verse 5 – Rooks in the Field)
Rooks dance in fields with Nova nearby,Their playful antics beneath the bright sky.Jackdaws and rooks in harmony, carefree,A daily delight, a joy just to see.
(Verse 6 – Magpies’ Mischief)
Magpies knocking, tapping windows and roofs,In blue and white jackets, playful little goofs.Mischievous birds with sparkling eyes,Their playful teasing, a sweet surprise.
(Verse 7 – June, the Hooded Crow)
June came wounded, a wing torn by strife,I helped her recover, gave hope and new life. But life can be fragile, and June passed away,My heart broke completely that sorrowful day.
(Bridge – Joy and Sorrow for June)
Still, I’m grateful June felt life’s gentle embrace,Brief moments of joy lit her beautiful face.I miss her profoundly, yet treasure her days,The warmth she brought softened grief’s harsh ways.
Chorus:
Oh crows, dear crows, wings bringing hope,Sharing life together, helping me cope.Bringers of light when darkness appears,Crows, you remain in my heart through the years.
(Verse 8 – Kragemanden’s Gratitude)
From the crows, I’ve learned courage and grace,My PTSD fades when their wings I embrace. They showed me life’s beauty, gentle and true,My crow friends, I owe so much to you.
(Verse 9 – Thanks to Blackie)
Blackie, I thank you for being so kind,Your friendship ignited a change in my mind.I’ll always protect your friends and your kin,Honoring the love you first sparked within.
(Bridge– Memories Live On)
Blackie, Pjuske, June, your spirits fly free,Forever remembered, deep inside of me.Crows connect past and future in flight,Their bond, a beacon of friendship and light.
Chorus (repeat x 2):
Oh crows, dear crows, wings bringing hope,Sharing life together, helping me cope.Bringers of light when darkness appears,Crows, you remain in my heart through the years.
