Song: Crows in the Fog

Kragesang

From time to time I write and create songs, and here’s one about my crows that I made for a video where we’re walking in the sand on a very foggy day out at Moesgård.
I visit them every single day of the year, so I get to experience all the different moods of nature out there.

My songs are written by me, but I generate the vocals and music through the computer — partly because it’s been many years since I last played guitar, and partly because I don’t exactly have the world’s best singing voice.
But luckily I’m a bit of a nerd, so I can make the computer sing and create the music for me.

(Verse 1)
Through the mist, where the cold winds sigh,
Hooded crows in the morning sky.
Feathers grey and feathers black,
They walk the shore, they don’t look back.

(Verse 2)
The sea is restless, waves roll deep,
The wind it whispers, but secrets keep.
Footsteps vanish in the sand,
As the crows all gather ‘round the man.

(Chorus)
Crows in the fog, walking by the sea,
Feeding from his hand, wild and free.
Eggs so fresh and water clear,
Peanuts cracked—he holds them near.

(Verse 3)
No snow falls, just the heavy haze,
The world is wrapped in silver grays.
Silent watchers, sharp and wise,
A hundred beady, knowing eyes.

(Verse 4)
From his little bag of treats,
He gives them food, they softly greet.
A bond unspoken, but understood,
A promise held in feathers and wood.

(Chorus)
Crows in the fog, walking by the sea,
Feeding from his hand, wild and free.
Eggs so fresh and water clear,
Peanuts cracked—he holds them near.

(Bridge)
Wind may howl and tides may rise,
Still they walk where the cold mist lies.
Man and crows, side by side,
Through the fog, where echoes hide.

(Final Chorus – softer)
Crows in the fog, walking by the sea,
Feeding from his hand, wild and free.
A winter’s gift, a quiet tune,
Underneath the ghost-white moon.
