Little crow walk – I’ve now lost 16 kg of fat on my walks
Crows motivate me to go for walks and lose weight
A little crow walk from today.
They don’t exactly move fast when they hop along, so it took us 2.5 hours to walk about 1.5 km — including many lunch breaks, of course.
Luckily, they are the ones eating all the food.
So far, I’ve lost a total of 16 kg just from walking with the crows.
I honestly believe they’ve saved my life several times over the years I’ve known them.
They ate, among other things, eggs on the beach, red berries by the parking lot, peanuts, cat food and dog food by the old tree trunk — and when we walked up to Blackie’s grave, they naturally got a few snacks too.
A small aggressive dog attacked us on the beach while I wasn’t paying attention.
For once, I managed to count to ten and stayed calm, letting one of the crows annoy the dog until the owner finally put it on a leash.
Then I called the crows back to me, and we walked on in another direction.
On the beach, their task was to find seashells in exchange for snacks.
The whole shells that could still close got a few snacks hidden inside before I buried them in the sand for a crow to “steal” and fly off with.
A couple of the young crows from last year have formed a pair and spend lots of time cuddling and relaxing together.
Unfortunately, that also means the males who haven’t found a mate sometimes fight and challenge the other males — possibly trying to “steal” a female.
